ADSL

Asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission

Advanced Meter

Also known as a Smart meter or AMR meter. A meter that transmits readings to your supplier remotely

Amp

A unit that measures the rate of flow of an electrical current

AMR

A unit that measures the rate of flow of an electrical current

Annual Agreed Quantity (AAQ)

A volume of a commodity for usage agreed up on in advance for a set period of 12 months

Annualized Advance

Also known as EAC or Estimated Annual Consumption which is the forecasted usage of a supply point for a calendar yea.

Apparent Power

The product of the voltage (volts) and the current amps and comprises both active and reactive power and is measured in kVa or Mva

Applying supplier

The supplier who is making an application to take over the supply of a meter point

Annual Quantity - The consumption you use of a given commodity for a calendar year

Availability Charge

A charge that relates to the amount of agreed upon capacity that a customer can draw on at any one time

Available Supply Capacity (ASC)

A volume expressed in KVA that is the agreed upon capacity a customer can draw on at any one time

When we moved into our new offices a couple of years ago Eyebright took over the process of arranging all our utilities including phone system, broadband, water, electricity etc. As is the norm with utility companies we got messed about with incorrect billings and other issues but Eyebright jumped on it and rectified all the issues promptly. Ill never go direct again!!
