The government announced in December 2022 that financial support was available for schools in England to help with rising energy costs. There will be up to £500 million for primary and secondary schools, as well as money available for colleges to implement energy efficiency measures. Primary schools are expected to receive around £16,000, whilst secondary schools can apply for £42,000. There will be a separate group pot of money (£290,000) for colleges.
