Q&A with Brendon Blake

We’re delighted to welcome Brendon Blake to eyebright as our new business client account manager. Brendon has a proven history of supporting businesses and delivering tailored energy solutions.

We took 5 minutes to learn more about Brendon, his experience and his thoughts on the industry.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m Brendon, 25 years old from Northampton! I drive a Tesla to do my bit for the environment and have a cat that is my world!

You’ve been in the energy industry for 6 years. What’s the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is innovation and technology, seeing better solutions for EV and smarter tech is really cool. Speaking to my partners each day and helping them get their clients the best deal they can!

What’s your proudest achievement in your career?

My proudest achievement is running my own business as a side hustle and building my sales skills on my own, developing a portfolio of around 36 clients in my first year and learning a lot about the trade!

What challenges do you feel clients face and how do you like to support them in resolving their issues?

Currently, the energy industry is very volatile and prices are rising, so  agreeing contracts before prices likely increase again is proving challenging. I enjoy working in partnership with my customers to manage expectations and support them to receive the best deal.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m a huge movie buff. I love watching films at home and the cinema, I may be a little bit of a Harry Potter fan too. I also enjoy watching Man United and the F1! Or, alternatively playing FIFA and F1 on the PS5!

Do you have any hidden talents you would like to share with us?

I have a massively high spice tolerance; I can pretty much have anything spicy and not really budge a tear at all.
