Josh Coleman – Q&A

As part of our ambitious growth at eyebright, we’ve been expanding our team of industry specialists. We’re delighted to be able to welcome Josh to the eyebright family.

Josh joins as our Strategic Account Manager and has an incredible track-record of helping clients achieve their energy objectives. We took 5 minutes to get to know a little more about his passions, industry expertise and how he’ll help existing and new clients.

Welcome Josh, can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m Josh and I’m the new Strategic Account Manager here at eyebright Ltd. I’ve worked in the industry since 2010 and bring with me a wealth of experience and knowledge. I’m excited about what myself and the team here will be able to offer businesses across the UK, in what is no doubt a daunting time for everyone. After 12 years in the energy industry, what do you enjoy most about your job?

The best part of my job is working with people. Building relationships with clients and delivering a top-class service. Few grow up dreaming of a career in the energy industry, but I consider myself incredibly lucky to have spent the last 12 years working and learning in it. The next 5 years especially are key and really exciting.

What’s your proudest achievement in your career?

Looking back, I’m proud of a number of moments from my career. Working with customers to improve their accounts and reduce historic debt, helping to implement a new finance system or hitting my first ever sales target. However, I firmly believe the biggest achievement is yet to come, here with eyebright.

What challenges do you feel clients face and how do you like to support them in resolving their issues?

We’re in the middle of the biggest energy crisis for decades and the majority of businesses have yet to feel the full impact of this. The role of an established, data driven and customer centric TPI is critical. It is vital to secure the best procurement option available, but where we demonstrate our value is by thinking outside the box. Reducing over heads, reducing consumption and being smarter/ streamlining their business. These factors will all become more important and eyebright is perfectly placed to help.

When you’re not working hard to help your clients, what do you like to do?

I’m a father to Riley, who’s soon to be 11. We share a love for basketball, so I spend time outside of work either playing with him in the garden, taking him to his games or watching our beloved LA Lakers. I live in West Oxfordshire, enjoy my wine, cycling, golf, walks and the cinema. And a few years ago, I made the decision to go on a fully plant-based diet! Which has forced me to up my cooking game and experiment more, which I have certainly loved doing.

Any secret talents you would like to share with us?

I have one card trick I pull out every now and then, granted my partner wasn’t impressed the first time I tried it on her ☹.
